UPDATE: Sweet Finnish bakery at 761 Centre Street closed its doors in April 2008. The space is currently being transformed into a salon called Studio 8.

This is a lovely cafe with ample seating. There is wi-fi and the pastries are outstanding. You can also get quiche, sandwiches, soups along with coffee. There's a display so you can learn more about Finland too.
It's often occupied by the laptop crowd working away or by tables of folks chatting away and enjoying coffee and a sweet. The owners aren't bothered by folks sitting around - in fact, it seems to be encouraged!
Hours Tue-Fri 7:30 am - 7 pm, Sat 8 am - 6 pm, Sun 9am - 6 pm

Needing a tiramisu fix? Fiore's is the place to go - once you walk in you are face to face with glass cases filled with tasty treats. You can get something yummy, an espresso to go with it, and then sit at one of the tables in the front to enjoy it. Or you can get a box filled with an assortment of beautiful Italian cookies to take home with you.
Fiore's caters to its neighborhood - they have all sorts of vegan goodies to tempt the non-dairy crowd. It's a friendly atmosphere and always bustling.

Named for his son,Christopher - who is in fact quite sweet - Sweet Christopher's has a lovely array of tasty treats and also serves Fair Trade coffee. It's worth a stop in to bring something yummy home or stay awhile, sit in the cafe and take a break from your busy life.
